The Department of Psychology at the University of Nairobi is recognised as one of the very best in the East and Central Africa for its research and teaching excellence. In teaching, our high quality courses are informed by cutting-edge research and are relevant to professional contexts in the Kenya and beyond. We collaborate with research and teaching partners across the world.

You can choose from a range of programmes across all levels, namely Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate. We are proud of the support we provide to help you study successfully within our academic community and get the most from student life through extra curricula activities offered by Psychology Club.

The Department of Psychology has a long-term aim to continuously improve its standing in terms of research and teaching excellence as well as being home away from home for its members of staff, students and visitors. The objective is to establish a definite sense of equality within the school with little evidence of hierarchy between staff and students. This is what will help to facilitate open discussion so that all of us get the best out of our university experience.

Please take a look around our website and discover the range and quality of the research we do, the courses we can offer you and the extra curricula activities you can enjoy.
